I know how it is--every year, December flies by, and the calendar creeps closer and closer to Dec. 25th. Your palms sweat, and you get nauseated with anxiety, wondering “WHAT am I going to get for Molly for Christmas”? Don’t freak, because I’m here to help. This year, instead of the pony you would normally buy me, please head directly to the Curator website, and purchase these Burt and Dolly portrait t-shirts. The toughest part of owning ... Read More
David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is one of the most anticipated films of the year; beyond the murder-heavy, not-exactly-popcorn-material plot (said to remain very faithful to Stieg Larsson's best-selling novel), a lot of the hype is due to The Girl herself.  After months of speculation over who would play asocial hacker Lisbeth Salander, the first photos of a black-haired, pierced, fully-transformed and hauntingly ... I've seen plenty of dudes sportin' the classic letterman jacket, but it's not until recently that I'm seeing ladies get in on the action as well. The bow ties, loafers, and cardigans of school years past have since become staples in many people's wardrobes, so it's only natural that this schoolyard gear would also make an appearance. The jackets were all over the runway, at shows from Alexander Wang and Phillip Lim to Moschino and Rag & Bone. They can now ... Read More
Need a new pair of shoes? Look no further than PONY’s “Check Your Self” line of vegan shoes. Not only are you buying some awesome looking kicks; you’re making a difference. For every shoe sold, $3 goes directly to the Keep A Breast Foundation, a non-profit organization that spreads breast cancer awareness through art events and educational programs. This year’s line is in collaboration with illustrator Laurie Shipley. The North ... Read More

Of all the "perfect home" bloggers out there on the internet, I think I like Yvestown.com  the best. This Belgium-based blogger lives in an old house that she is in the process of renovating and redecorating, and her style is fresh and clean but also cozy and sweet, a combination that I really love. And homegirl does a lot with pink. The way she uses it it always looks inviting, never cloying; girly but not Barbie. (all images above photographed by Yvonne ... Read More
Obviously it’s Veteran’s Day, but did you know it’s also National Corduroy Day? Well it is. I mean how can you not take advantage of such a momentous occasion as 11|11|11, which as corduroy enthusiasts realized a few years back, looks a lot like the fabric’s striped pattern. The golden age of corduroy was in the 1970s, but the holiday originated in 2005, when The Corduroy Appreciation Club (a semi-serious club for those who really ... Read More
After two years worth of criminal activity, a Colombian gang of drug smugglers have finally been apprehended in Barcelona. Turns out, they were trafficking cocaine in...wait for it...fake Manolo Blahniks. How? What? Where? Well, they basically mixed the drug with liquid until it turned into paste, molded the substance into Manolo-esque shapes and painted the "shoes" in a variety of colors. Once the shoes got to their proper owners/dealers, the dealers ... Read More
In random beauty and fashion news, Iggy Pop is officially the face of Paco Rabanne's newest fragrances, Black XS L’Excès. The fragrances will include versions for both men and women and will debut in France starting in January. The highly-anticipated commercial featuring Iggy and created by seasoned music video director, Jonas Ackerlund, will soon be appearing on TV and in movie theaters alike.  I like how menacing Iggy looks in this photo. I ... Read More
There's so many street style blogs out there, it's hard to know which ones are best so when I find a really good one, I definitely try and keep up with it. TheSFStyle.com is one of my favorites. Run by JT Tran and Dyanna Dawson, the site is filled with lovely lady and handsome man "morsels" galore from two of my favorite cities, San Francisco and New York! I run a street style blog of my own, The Rebel Waltz, but I've definitely neglected it in ...
