Handmade jewelry is awesome. Colorful jewelry is awesome. Handmade colorful jewelry is way awesome. As someone who still wishes they could dress up like Rainbow Brite, you can imagine my excitement when I stumbled across Tierra on Spring street, a small store full of handmade jewelry in the most rich, vibrant colors these eyes have ever seen. Iconic Brit jewelers (and longtime BUST favorites), Tatty Devine have sparked a huge response on Twitter in the last 24 hours after posting these pictures on their blog highlighting the dubious similarities between some of their classic designs and those currently on sale at UK high street chain, Claires Accessories.
Coming at already challenging times for all UK retailers, these cheaper mass produced versions pose a real threat to the well-loved indie label. Tatty Devine say they hope that the response will persuade the company to withdraw these pieces. Read More
It’s pretty much impossible for Rachel Antonoff to create anything less than ridiculously adorable clothing and accessories, so of course, her newest fall 2012 collection is nothing short of charming and wearable. From shiny jewels and Peter Pan collar dresses to Bye Bye Birdie sweatshirts and floral creeper shoes, there is a youthfulness to a lot of the pieces that feels both elegant and modern, but playful at the same time. We were browsing the World Wide Webternets today, on the hunt for some rad swimsuits for our June/July issue, when we came across a face that looked familiar on TheGiantPeach.com. That surly twinkle in the eye, those cartoony tattoos, that two-tone hair—this model is most definitely West Coast rapper Kreayshawn! (Compare her tattoos above with those in the below photo, for extra proof.)
