Last night on RuPaul’s Drag Race, things that we were only partially certain of became crystal clear. Phi Phi O’Hara, previously only semi-evil, went full Maleficent. The source of Willam’s high opinion of himself was revealed to be a guest stint on Sex and the City (which, by the way, ended eight years ago). Bret, You've Got It Goin' On!

Congratulations to our boyfriend Bret McKenzie, who was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his song for the Muppets movie, "Man or Muppet." McKenzie, who you all of course remember as one-half of the comedy duo, "Flight of the Conchords," can consider himself especially honored this year, as it's the first time that only 2 songs are competing for Best Original Song (none of the other songs scored high enough in the fancy Oscars rating system to even be nominated!).   The folks over at Saturday Night Live must really love BUST Magazine! The host of this weekend's comedy sketch show is none other than yours truly. Sort of. Although the hilarious staff here is not actually hosting SNL, our current cover lady Maya Rudolph is, and the musical guest is (drum roll please) Sleigh Bells! My mother has all these great cooking stories from her girlhood involving her Italian aunts making homemade ravioli out of giant volcanos of flour right on the kitchen table. Wild stuff! One of her greatest regrets is never mastering the art of handmade pasta while she had the chance, so a few Christmases ago I bought her a cookbook called Cooking with Italian Grandmothers. She opened the box, looked at me and said, "Are you pregnant?" She totally missed the really sweet point I was trying to make. Read More
