What could be more fun than Oxygen’s reality hit Bad Girls Club? Well...a lot of things. (Remind me again why that show's on TV?) As it turns out, though, a house populated by our favorite badass lady characters from books, TV, and movies is pretty cool. I present to you Comediva’s BAMF Girls Club, which features characters such as Lisbeth Salander, Hermione Granger, and Buffy interacting under the same roof. This comedic web series debuted on August 28th, and it’s all kinds of hilarious. Read More
On Monday, NBC announced that three new comics will star in its upcoming 2012-2013 season of Saturday Night Live. All of them are Chicago based, and two of them are ladies. BUST cover girl and all-around awesome lady Tavi Gevinson was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, and we just about plotzed. Jimmy even held up the Aug/Sept issue of BUST, featuring Tavi in all her glory.   We have such a lady crush on Tavi and her site Rookie. Both do an amazing job of starting conversations about what it's like to be a teenage girl, and about feminism. Tavi chatted with Fallon about her new book Rookie Yearbook One, her hilarious encounter with Björk, and even taught Jimmy how to several different versions of "bitch face." We were lovin' it.
