Between preparing anxiously for Aunt Flo to come into town and making sure the men in my life are kept fed, sheltered and nourished emotionally, I barely have time to keep up on news of the day, let alone devote time to understanding sports. Recently, I've found myself on the website I Waste So Much Time, understandably, wasting so much time. Where I expected cat .gifs and other methods of procatination, I found this amazing post that turned out to be in no way a waste of time. I was drawn in immediately just by the macro - I saw something important in this clip. Some say there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. In a brazen display of Internet chutzpah, the talk-show circuit ‘doctor’ posted this unbelievably stupid question hoping, probably, for some unbelievably stupid answers.  Dear Dr. Phil: is it OK to ask the Internet if rape is OK? The tweet was almost immediately deleted, probably because some nice intern at the Dr. Phil offices politely raised her hand and told whoever is in charge of the show’s Twitter to kindly shove this ‘innocent’ question where the sun don’t shine. On September 5th, “Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria will be receiving this year’s Hispanic Heritage Award, as presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. What’s amazing about this is that Longoria is one of three women who are receiving this award. Voto Latino CEO/President, Maria Teresa Kumar, and Actress/Singer Lucero will be receiving the 26th Hispanic Heritage Awards as well. The Hispanic Heritage Foundation announced the winners this past Friday. Read More
