When your gays call, you better pick up. Or in this case, when they email. My good friend Craig (the fabulous DJ Smithmix who DJed our 15 year anniversary party last August) sent me some goodies today, one of which was a link to a very cool blog by NY drag superstars Brandy Wine and Brenda A. Go Go. I just about lost it on this fake Karma Chameleon phone, sanctioned by Boy George himself. Hilarious. It seems like it may have actually been a real phone back in the day, who knows? Women and friends of women around the globe have been avidly following the news regarding a new Afghan law that grants Shi'ite men the right to demand intercourse from their wives, effectively legalizing marital rape. Today there are signs of hope for Shia women. President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai (pictured above in imaginary festive-feminist attire,) announced today that 'the law is now up for review and amendments will take place.' Karzai did not elaborate on the particulars of the revisions (hence the tentative nature of the HUZZAH. Read More
