On last night's episode of "Sex in the Wild," a 4-part PBS series that investigates the sex lives, mating behaviors, and reproductive systems of a variety of animals, the subject was marsupials. That's right: we learned all about Kangaroo vaginas, Koala penii, and the 4-headed Echidna penis.
But first, a warning: This post (and the show itself) is NSFW: Not Safe for Wussies. If you are easily skeeved out by nature, you might want to move on.

Recently, I came out as bisexual (surprise, Mom!) and was met with entirely positive reactions from everyone I told. However, before coming out I was terrified of telling people. I've heard bisexuals being totally discounted, and with rampant bi erasure and biphobia in media, spewed by people I know online and in real life, it's no wonder I was freaked. So, here's a list of myths that are as false as can be regarding bisexuality and pansexuality. Let's learn about the B in LGBTQIAP+!
1. Myth: Bisexuality doesn’t exist; people can only be monosexual. Read More

Someone has finally developed an app (similar to Grindr and Tinder) that focuses solely on girls loving girls. (Finally!) Dattch is a new app in the market that is directed towards lesbian and bisexual women.
Built by women for women, it’s designed to surpass any of the experiences that women have on other dating apps. Dattch founder and CEO, Robyn Exton says that "You can’t just take Grindr and make it pink and give it to women and say 'Ta da!' It’s a completely different experience and product—and I think no one seems to have taken the time to do it yet." Very true. Read More

There are two great beauties in this world: flowers and beards. Why had no one thought to combine the two until now? Flowers are a gift from nature, a beauty unmatched until…men decided to grow out their face hair. Am I right ladies? A good beard can churn up my insides faster than ripped abs or perfect man style.
The combination of the romantic and stereotypically “feminine” nature of flowers with the uber masculine connotation of facial hair creates a sweet and charming juxtaposition as men worldwide have started adorning their beards with flowers. Read More

Sexting is slowly becoming a less taboo topic, and I’m all for it. As long as you’re two consenting adults OLD ENOUGH TO LEGALLY BE HAVING SEX then cool, I say send pics of your wiggly bits to each other all you want.
The big issue I do see with sexting is the unwanted sharing of photos and video, which can often lead to the widespread distribution of revenge porn. If only there was some way to send naughty photos with a guarantee that they would delete themselves!

I’ve just discovered the magical world of erotica, as drawn by lady artists.
TMI? Maybe. Maybe not, considering I’m a female illustrator struggling to get NSFW illustrations published. Just last week I was told that my 32 page illustrated book about women in BDSM communities wouldn’t be printed by a popular online book publishing company. (There’s not even penetration! Just boobs and butts and maybe the occasional strap on!) So, yes, in fact -- I have a personal interest in this fight. Read More

A lot of time and energy has been put into making safe sex fun. It looks like some of it may have been paying off. You might have seen our post about condoms that promote a culture of consent.
First off, props to Force: Upsetting Rape Culture and the folks at Say It With a Condom. Cute, attention-grabbing, to the point--but I wonder if the point is coming across as clearly as it could. Read More

I'm still not over 3D Printing being a thing. I've seen it in action once before, when my friend asked for an octopus with a top hat during a demonstration at Macaulay Honors College. Even so, I still forget that I live in a world where I can literally print almost anything...however, this isn't good news for every industry. The sex toy market is particularly anxious. That's right: 3D Printing offers the possibility of printing your own dildo, without the awkwardness of going to the store and making forced eye contact with the cashier (... Read More
