There’s nothing like a slideshow to get a girl excited about feminism. While that sounds like the single most sarcastic sentence in the history of the world, I promise it was meant in earnest.
Refinery 29 just released a slideshow, “17 Feminists of the Future,” that showcases some of the women (& men!) who are currently working tirelessly to better the future for women everywhere.
Included on the list are familiar names like Sheryl Sandberg, Melinda Gates, Tavi Gevinson, and Malala Yousafzai. Read More

It all started with a vagina.
Earlier this spring, a Facebook support group directed towards moms posted a picture of an anatomically correct vulva. The group boasted a readership of around 22,000, and the image was clearly meant for education, empowerment, and advocacy. It fell in line with the other discussion topics on Motherwise – which writes about “breastfeeding, parenting issues, and birthing options,” as well as serving as a platform for discourse and community.

Last month, 18 year-old Jamie Keiles caught the attention of several women’s Web sites when she announced her plans to embark on an unprecedented experiment into the female adolescent experience: The Seventeen Magazine Project.
For her final month of high school, Jamie would live her life strictly adhering to the tips and advice in the June/July issue of Seventeen then blog about her daily endeavors and experiences.
