Upon hearing news of the rapist list that was publicly inscribed inside of a Columbia University bathroom stall- I decided to do a little digging and fortuitously opened a Pandora’s Box of unnerving sexual assault mishandlings by the “renowned Ivy League.”
On May 15th Columbia University custodians found a little PSA written in sharpie on a bathroom stall, sporting the headline: “Rapists On Campus,” subsequently listing 4 names of male undergraduates. Read More

Over the past 20 years, psychologist David Lisak has been researching rape and sexual assault on college campuses. He's asked over 2,000 men questions like "Have you ever had sexual intercourse with someone, even though they did not want to, because they were too intoxicated [on alcohol or drugs] to resist your sexual advances?" His results? One in 16 men answered "yes" to some version of that question.
Lisak describes the "narcissism" of a rapist and how they are "very forthcoming" in talking about their offenses. Read More

I can’t get behind elaborate touchdown dances or emotionally overwrought ESPN documentaries, but I’ll always appreciate the hard work of the mascots on the sidelines.
One of my earliest sports memories is being nuzzled by the Phillie Phanatic as I played a pre-game show on the field with my elementary school band. (Popularity: I haz it.) And at my alma mater, inflatable mascot (and John McCain doppelganger) Baldwin the Eagle was known for a tricky flip/headstand move that’s sure to bring a nostalgic tear to the heart of any Superfan.
