It’s been about a year since we’ve had any new content from Oscar-winning screenwriter/total badass Diablo Cody, and if you’re anything like me this fact is a total bummer. Well, fear not, my fellow Diablo Cody fans! Along with penning the Evil Dead remake set to come out in the spring, Cody is also developing a sitcom for ABC called Alex + Amy.   According to Entertainment Weekly, this show is a “Comedy about a romance between an ambitious 22-year-old Millenial guy and a 32-year-old Gen X woman who have just moved in together and are very much in love. Sadly, I missed last week’s episode of OUAT due to Hurricane Sandy–however, I am grateful that I didn’t have any actual problems to deal with. But it gave me some time to rethink my weekly recaps, and instead of doing a long, boring recap of every scene, I’ve decided to focus on five hilarious, shocking, bewildering, or just WTF moments from each episode.  Without further delay, here’s what happened in this week's episode: Emma’s Past. The episode is called Tallahassee, and for a good reason. Read More
Boy Meets World fans out there may be in for a big surprise; rumors have been circulating about a possible sequel series to the beloved show, tentatively called Girl Meets World, which will be centered around Cory and Topanga’s preteen daughter. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the Disney Channel has been in talks with the former series' executive producer Michael Jacob on a possible series sequel, but there is no word out yet on whether original castmates Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga) will revisit their roles as adults-or if William Daniels (aka Mr. Read More
As it turns out, Disney’s Princess Sofia that I wrote about last week is not Latina.  As a refresher, Jamie Mitchell, producer of the TV show “Sofia the First,” said at a press conference that Sofia was Latina, after a question from a blogger as to why Sofia’s mom has darker skin.  Now, Nancy Kanter, Disney Junior Worldwide’s senior vice president of original programming and general manager, says that producer Mitchell “misspoke.   Rumplestiltskin and Belle had quite an interesting beginning in Season One, as they were Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely worship Rumbelle, and was thrilled to see another episode about this power couple. Rumple is one of the most mysterious characters, and this episode finally revealed some information about him. The episode begins in Storybrooke with Belle having doubts about Rumple and concerns about if he’s really going to change or keep using magic to control others. Read More
HOLD THE PHONE. OMG. I’m really glad I decided to keep watching this season. Everything that I thought was lacking in the premiere seemed to be in the very intense second episode, so I'm a very happy fangirl. This episode returned to all the things I love about OUAT. The seven dwarves bring it upon themselves to find out what happens beyond Storybrooke. Read More
If you haven't seen the debut episode of BUST covergirl Mindy Kaling's new show, The Mindy Project, you probably need to drop everything you're doing right now and get in the loop. As Mindy's same-name character tells a five-year-old in the first episode: "You're boring. Contribute something!" And contribute we have - everyone's been recapping, buzzing, and writing critically about the show for the past week after FOX streamed the show early. We'll be recapping all the episodes as they happen, too, but the season premiere has been beaten and praised to death this week. Read More
Fall means one thing to me: New Girl is back on FOX! I’ve been waiting all summer to see what’s up with my favorite manic-pixie-nightmare-girl, Jessica Day (played by former BUST cover girl Zooey Deschanel). Turns out, she hasn't been up at all. The premiere began with Jess oversleeping, in typical Jess-blunder fashion, and subsequently running through the apartment attempting to get ready for work. Read More
