MS MR have just released their first official music video! The video is for their latest track, “Fantasy”, off their upcoming album Second Hand Rapture, which will be available on May 14th. The video was shot is Jamaica, Queens, and features a slew of fractured fantasies being played out—dismembered hands, cheerleaders puking glitter, drum flash mobs, the works.
The duo behind MS MR is Lizzy Plapinger and Max Hershenow, who played sold-out shows in NYC and LA this year. You’ll also be able to catch them at the upcoming SXSW festival. Read More

It’s no secret that we love Angel Haze here at BUST. She’s one of the most versatile hip-hop artists out there, unafraid to tackle deep sadness or go ovaries-to-the-wall aggressive with her lyrics. Now she’s trying her hand at house: “Hell Could Freeze”, a new collab with London-based drum-and-bass quartet Rudimental, is a moodily gorgeous track that navigates the ups and downs of love.
Angel’s rap is still on point, but her fuzzed-out hook, layered over an alternately shimmery and spazzy beat, is the gorgeous centerpiece that holds the track together. Read More

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Sami Akbari, who performs as sami.the.great, has just released a video for her throwback single “Hear Me Now”.
Sami’s twee-yet-powerful voice and charmingly introspective songwriting usually bring Ingrid Michaelson to mind, but she puts on her Nancy Sinatra hat (or, more appropriately, flip wig) for this upbeat track.
