Maybe it's the end of a grueling work-day, if you have a work-day. If you're on the East Coast, there's a sporting chance you'll be caught in a tepid drizzle-storm the next time you leave a building. Hey, maybe there's nothing in the fridge! Maybe you've got to invoice or read the ever-traumatic newspaper or do something else taxing with your evening hours, when all you really want to do is curl up in the deepest part of the deepest couch and ignore all the phone calls. In the off-chance that you see yourself in any part of this equation, I have some ideas to ease your troubled mind. Read More

Apparently, this is NOT what a feminist looks like
Oh, Shailene, Shailene, Shailene. We need to talk. The internet is mad at you for saying you're not a feminist in your interview with Time magazine , and we're pretty disappointed, too. I mean, c'mon Shailene. You are smarter than this. You are a thoughtful person. We chose you for the cover of BUST because we wanted to know more about the soon-to-be-a-star hippy girl who was going to play the lead role in Divergent. Did your people not tell you we were a feminist magazine? We are. Read More

Tris (Shailene Woodley) is forced to come of age in a dystopia where individuals are placed into factions based on which of five virtues they value most highly. But when the time comes for Tris to take her own place in society, she turns out to be Divergent, valuing more than one virtue. She tries to switch out of her family's humble Abnegation Faction to Dauntless Faction, who value bravery, to fake out a government that punishes non-conformity. Unfortunately for Tris, evil mastermind Jeanine (Kate Winslet) is behind it all and will stop at nothing to take her down. Read More

We're pretty excited for the opening of Divergent this Friday, woot!
Check out our exclusive cover story with hippy child Shailene Woodley below.
The first thing I notice about Shailene (pronounced “Shay-LEEN”) Woodley is her feet—they’re bare. She’s just arrived at the Los Angeles hillside house where we’re shooting her BUST cover, and ditching her footwear outside the front door was the first thing she did. Read More

Our current cover lady, the magical, hippie-dippie, wise-beyond-her-years Shailene Woodley is also starring as ass-kicking heroine Beatrice (Tris) Prior in the upcoming Divergent.
The movie looks awesome. Set in a future dystopia--reminiscent of the middle school favorite The Giver and ever popular, ever awesome The Hunger Games--Divergent takes place in a society divided into 5 factions defined by virtues. At the age of 16, teenagers must decide whether to stay in their faction, or transfer. Read More

We are so thrilled to have the uber-talented Shailene Woodley on the cover of our February/March issue (on newsstands now!), and we're super excited for her breakout role as kickass heroine Tris Prior in Divergent.
(Plus, she zip-lined onto the Kimmel stage last night...our lady crush is deep and abiding.)
The trailer just dropped this afternoon! Watch it below, and let us know what you think...
