Recently, Ivana Trump’s accusation of sexual assault by her ex-husband and GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has resurfaced. Mr. Trump continues to vehemently deny the accusation.

In a story published yesterday, USA Today worked with journalists from 75 newspapers to take inventory of untested rape kits around the country—finding more than 70,000 untested, and possibly thousands more. Their comprehensive feature includes anecdotes from rape survivors, interviews with law enforcement, and even a search engine to see how many untested rape kits there are in your county’s police department. Known for supporting victims of sexual assault in the military and on college campuses, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand continues to be an advocate for survivors’ voices. A spokesman for Senator Gillibrand says that she—along with Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill—supports advocacy group Promoting Awareness/Victim Empowerment’s petition that calls on President Obama to take away Bill Cosby’s Presidential Medal of Freedom. Fans of The Runaways haven’t known what to think since Jackie Fuchs, The Runaways’ former bassist, accused the band’s late manager, Kim Fowley, of sexually assaulting her in 1975. The biggest source of controversy has been her claim that bandmates Cherie Currie and Joan Jett, among others, were in the room when it happened. Both Currie and Jett have denied this claim, but in different styles.
