I write this article from a loving place. John Legend is my mom’s favorite artist, and I’ve been conditioned to enjoy his smooth R&B style. I’m not a diehard fan, but I definitely agree that he and his music are cool.

I’ve got big love for this sisters-brother trio from London. I especially dig the downtempo ska vibe of this first single from their upcoming new album, Smoking in Heaven. Kinda makes me wanna skank, real slow like. Plus these ladies have a wicked fierce look: serious eyeliner, pompadours, and vintage galore.
