Designers... Project Runway is now casting Season 13!
The groundbreaking competition series has been the starting point of some of the country’s top designers (Christian Siriano, anyone?), and it is now sweeping the nation in search of its next star. This year, the series is proud to offer contestants the chance to show their work at New York Fashion Week and to win $100,000 or more to launch or expand their fashion line. Read More

I was never a big fan of summer camp--in fact, the thought of swimming lessons still gives me agita--but I'd give my two (now permanent) front teeth to spend an entire day in the arts-and-crafts room. Wouldn't you?Lucky for us, Brooklyn Craft Camp has arrived!Author and professional DIYer Brett Bara has teamed up with a host of movers and makers for a day of nonstop DIY activities on Saturday, March 16--and you won't even have to fly your bunkmate's underwear off the flagpole to join in. You may remember Buffi Jashanmal from season 10 of Project Runway. We at BUST remember her as an awesome former intern! The self-proclaimed fashion badass and DIY enthusiast showed her colors (literally! HA.) and crazy style on the competitive reality series, but she definitely wouldn’t stop there. Buffi already launched a fashion line in Dubai, and is now releasing a book, Make-It-Rock Dress Design through Storey Publishing. Now you can see a showcase of her unique designs from the book at the Philadelphia Home Show. Read More

Project Runway contestants are famously petulant – a montage of their eye rolls would probably be longer than a regular episode – but last week’s tantrum by contestant Ven Budhu sparked outrage when he brought his plus-size model to tears.

Do you remember Project Runway’s season eight fan favorite and finalist Andy South? He was always calm, polite and drama-free as an out and proud gay man. Well, now almost two years later, Andy South is an out and proud transgender woman, named Nong Ariyaphon Southiphong. Yesterday, Southiphong changed her Facebook gender from “male” to “female,” making her transition publicly official.
The 25-year-old designer largely went about her change quietly but has been uploading many gorgeous photos onto Facebook since March, according to the Daily Mail. Read More
I blog a lot about fashion blogs, which I love and can't get enough of, but I thought I'd showcase one of the blogs I go to the most for entertainment news and fashion opinions I respect: Tom&Lorenzo. I only recently realized they changed their official blog name from Project Rungay to Tom&Lorenzo. It makes sense though since when the blog first began in 2006 it was primarily about Project Runway, but covers a lot more now. Even if you didn't keep up with the episodes of PR, this blog was the perfect way to keep up with the winners, drama, and hilarity of the show. Read More
