New York City supporters of Planned Parenthood swarmed Foley Square on Sept. 29, at the #PinkOut rally. Along with the chance to participate in chants like "Show me what democracy looks like! THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE," and listen to several speakers, the event gave us the chance to chat with the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood NYC about what government defunding of the organization would look like, and how you can help to stand with PP.  What would the United States without Planned Parenthood look like? Well, it would be 2. Read More

Last week, women around the world bravely shared their abortion stories as #ShoutYourAbortion trended on Twitter. The movement got started when Amelia Bonow shared her abortion story on Facebook after learning of the House of Representative’s vote to defund Planned Parenthood. Lindy West took Amelia’s story to Twitter with the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion, shared her own abortion story, and with the help of a few “co-conspirators” including Kimberly Morrison, a viral hashtag was born. If you’re with child and want to be without, plan a safe, simple abortion with straightforward advice from doctors, experts, and women who’ve been there. Imagine it’s 1965 and you’ve discovered you’re pregnant. You’ve recently embarked on the beginning of your career in Manhattan, so this is clearly no time to raise a baby. You consider abortion, but since it’s illegal, you have no legitimate doctors to call and no one willing to support your decision to abort. Read More
Yesterday, in a 53-46 vote, the measure to defund Planned Parenthood failed. YAHOO. Many conservatives in both the House and Senate are still willing to do whatever it takes (no matter how absurd and irresponsible) to block federal funding to Planned Parenthood. For instance, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told reporters the GOP should use "any and every procedural tool available" to defund Planned Parenthood. Read More
Well, shit. “The names and contact information for more than 300 Planned Parenthood employees have been published on a private website hosted by a group of hackers, part of an organization called 3301,” according to the Los Angeles Times. By publishing this confidential information, the hackers are putting the employees at risk for harassment and physical harm, endangering them and their families. Read More
I have three alarms set on my phone to remember to take my birth control pill. Three. And sometimes, I still forget to take my pill. If you also take the pill, you probably understand my struggle. If you don’t take the pill, you probably just think I’m an idiot. There is a new electronic reminder system to remind you to take your birth control! Oviary is set on a 24-hour clock. When you take your pill, the clock resets. You simply open up the device, pop out a pill, and bam. You’re done for the day. Read More
