In the Harry Potter series, Halloween was a special day. The Great Hall was transformed into a Halloween heaven with floating pumpkins and surpluses of themed food for the students. When we talk about Harry Potter and JK Rowling, it is largely with high praise. Rowling is a powerful female author and creator of an entire fantasy world that has inspired countless people of all ages across the globe.

I wouldn't call it "regret" exactly but in a recent interview J.K. Rowling admits to selfish motives regarding the beloved romance between 2/3rds of our favorite trio.

As a child, I fell in love with the Harry Potter series in large part because of its animals, its giant spiders and hissing snakes. Remember the magical Thestral, the winged horse visible only to those who have seen death? They are my personal favorite, and the image my young self conjured while reading the books still haunts me.
