You know who wasn’t truly outrageous? Jem, the ’80s cartoon rock star. She wasn’t outrageous at all. Being all about “synergy” in her band the Hologramsjust made it seem like she was at a board meeting. Wow. How outrageous. You go, Jem. Since the last event curated by Jill Sternheimer, I've been praying and hoping for another Girl Group show. I am crazy about doo-wop and the Girl Group sound so I jumped at the chance to review the newest Girl Group Spectacular at B.B. King. Before I even got there, I knew it would be great.
On the day of the show, it definitely did not disappoint! I made sure to dress to the nines in my Girl Group attire and raised my bouffant to new heights. Sufficient to say, I got a lot of comments throughout the night, mostly to remark on how my friend and I were the youngest ones there. Read More

Earlier this year, we talked about why the Left Eye is the shit: she advocated safe sex, she burned down her abusive boyfriend’s house, and she did charity work with children in underdeveloped communities.
Long live the '90s.
That’s why we’re psyched that VH1’s Mixtape Festival will be presenting TLC on stage as a trio once again. We hear that Left Eye will be appearing on stage - as a digital projection made of archival footage. Awesome, and awesome.
