November is my favorite time of the year, from pumpkin-spice everything to the gluttony of Thanksgiving and, of course, my birthday! When it comes to the holiday season, I love buying presents for others (and for myself!), so I thought I'd put together a collection of some of my favorite items of the moment, many from adorable Etsy shops I recommend exploring. Hopefully they can give you ideas for Christmas shopping to come!
My first items are these fanciful, handmade pastel oxfords. All the pastels are completely covetable, but I'm really digging the pink ones. Read More

Jewelry designer Melissa Cohen found her calling after taking metalsmithing classes with her crafty friends in Atlanta, GA. Over the next few years, she made the move to Brooklyn, NY and is now making a living off of her twee-yet-tough trinkets. How inspiring!
Metal Sugar jewelry ranges from metal-cast edibles (like the Twizzler cuff pictured above) to petite animals to sassy stamped nameplates, sprinkled with a healthy dose of teensy diamonds. They mix with everything from modern statement pieces to your grandma’s vintage locket. Read More

Oh, the weather outside is frightful…but Alex Silva’s cozy handmade knits are beyond delightful. Her intricate circle scarves—in luxe merino wool—are perfect to pair with even the drabbest of winter coats on chilly days. I’m especially loving her candy-colored Aztec Knit Print Scarf:
I’m also dying over these high-waisted knickers in a delicious dusty green. Read More

Artist Katrina Balling started Ball and Chain Jewelry after she designed her own jewelry for her wedding in 2006. Her clever kitschy sterling silhouettes and crocheted chain jewelry are inspired by flea market finds and other unexpected sources.
The wood grain ring collection is a collaboration with her husband John Jacobsmeyer, who is also an artist, painter, and print maker -- he lends his engraving skills to the wood grain patterns.
