Since its release on Tuesday, the YouTube video, “10 hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman has over 16,000,000 views. Joining with filmmaker Robert Bliss, Hollaback!, an organization that aims to end street harassment, created the video in an effort to bring attention to the street harassment many women experience every day. "But what about men??" said the men who felt left out. Funny Or Die News decided to conduct an experiment to see what happens to ... Read More
If you caught our interview with comedian Megan Amram in the latest issue of BUST, you already know to save yourself the effort of learning “man science.” Amram’s new book Science For Her is coming out Nov. 4, and will simply explain confusing topics for anyone who has internalized the sexism offered up by years of socialization. The promo video has us salivating. If you’re not convinced, maybe a sweaty, kale laden Nick Offerman will do the ... Read More
TV on the Radio released their new single "Happy Idiot" with a trippy music video on Funny or Die to match. In the video, Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman!) plays a race car driver "Racer Steven" who hasn't raced "in a long time." The heartbroken racer makes lap after lap, haunted and tormented by the images of a past lover (Karen Gillan). Karen Gillan (of Doctor Who, Selfie) is seen in different outfits, sometimes cheering, sometimes baking a cake, all on the ... Read More
I have to admit, it's a little difficult to write a review about someone I have admired and followed since I first got into stand-up comedy. I still remember the first time I saw comedian Sarah Silverman perform live back home at a show in Manchester, New Hampshire, and I knew all her jokes and delivery by heart so well I could say them along with her. I recently watched Silverman’s HBO special We are Miracles (released November 2013) before ... Read More
Loved it when Kristen Bell took on minimum wage issues as the magical Mary Poppins? Christina Hendricks serves up just as much sass in her Mad Men take on the current issue of gender equality in the workplace.  Joan Harris serves up the modern workplace with a nice dose of 1960s hypocrisy in this Funny or Die video. After thoroughly confusing other women in cubicles with her martini-sipping, indoor-cigarette smoking ways, she drops some knowledge on them: ... Read More
Recently for a Funny or Die video, actress Kristen Bell played a pissed off Mary Poppins. While her accent was a little off, she hit the mark precisely in the message of the video, which was that the minimum wage is not a living wage. Now, if you put aside the fact that Mary Poppins would be living in the UK, where the 2013 minimum wage was £6.31 (about $10.70), and the fact that the movie took place in 1910, our favorite nanny is facing a major issue ...   Okay, so Drunk History on Comedy Central is probably my new favorite show. I can’t watch even one segment without laughing to tears. It began as a Funny or Die series, which was created by Jeremy Konner and Derek Waters. What makes Drunk History so funny is the fact that they enlist actors to re-tell historical events, while being incredibly intoxicated. This show is majorly awesome!  Part of the hilarity is that the actors aren’t exactly accurate ... Read More
The War on Women is HILARIOUS, right? Taking away women's access to affordable birth control, slinging 'slut' like there's no tomorrow, insisting that all this legislation about our ladybits is what we want. I nearly fall off my chair laughing about this stuff! Okay, real talk, this is not a laughing matter. The political climate in this country continues to terrify us, and giggles are quite possibly the furthest reaction from our minds. Until watching this video, ... Read More
When Congress held that panel on birth control a few weeks ago and invited "women's health experts" who happened to be only conservative men, we were wondering what was wrong with that picture. But now, we have this hilarious video to explain things so we won't have to worry our pretty little heads anymore! As Nick Offerman (who plays Ron Swanson on Parks & Rec) puts it, "Late-middle-aged men know the most about everything." Some other choice quotes ... Read More
