The monthly street style magazine has been snapping shots since the mid 90s, and the August issue is filled with the usual volume of fresh and fearless fashion. For those of you who remember the day Frances Bean Cobain was born (like me), be prepared to feel a leeetle old. Lil’ FB is now lookin’ like a grown-ass woman, and in this photo shoot she did with former Dior Homme/YSL designer Hedi Slimane, she pretty much owns the camera. I know Kurt and Courtney are her parents and all, but it still freaks me out a little how much she looks like both of them. A whisper of the past in the face of the future. And hot ... Read More

Other designer alums include Anna Sui, Narciso Rodriguez, Peter Som, and host/speaker of the event, Reed Krakoff. As the show began, I felt like I was bombarded with fashion, my head ... Read More

You know how some days you just don't want to get out of your bed? And you're like, ah, if only I could take my bed with me? And then the snuggie came along and you were like 'finally!' and wore it on the subway, and to work, and out to the bar and then no one bought you a drink because the snuggie was just not showing off your figure enough? No fear. The form fitting ONE PIECE is here.
Like the Royal Wedding, the ONE PIECE is a big deal in the UK; with ... Read More
In high school, were (or are) you a nerdy chic girl who secretly coveted the varsity jackets that all the jocks wore? Did you want one, but didn’t want to go out for a sport that you hated, knowing that even if you got a varsity jacket to love it wouldn’t truly represent you?
Now the fine t-shirt and print designers at Death Traitors have heard your pleas, and are releasing a super cute black varsity jacket that perfectly suits Death Traitors ... Read More

They look like the love children of antique dolls and woodland fairies.
They practically float instead of walk, with their wafting, floral print fabrics and gauzy layers, their vintage blouses and baby doll dresses, romantic lace paired with tights and/or a-line skirts, stiletto heels or ballet flats, and tiny trinkets.
While beloved and adopted by American and European girls as well, “Mori,” as every source will tell you, derives from the Japanese word ... Read More

When my friends from high school moved to the East Coast for college, they were most horrified by winter. "Why did people settle there?" My friend once asked when discussing New York. "It's uninhabitable!"
It's not that my hometown, San Francisco, is the tropical paradise people assume of a California locale. Perpetually autumn-temperature, SF experiences a winter rainy season and brief Indian summer and lots of low-lying fog. As a kid, my East Coast-born ... Read More
Santi White, better known by her stage name Santigold, is definitely celebrated for her unique melodies, reminiscent of Pixies and inspired by 1980’s pop and Siouxsie and the Banshees, and yet completely her own. Having gained acclaim for her fearless self-expression, it is no surprise that her personal aesthetic reflects her eclectic artistry.
Shipping to stores starting February are some very lovely looking Vans, the product of a collaboration between ... Read More
