Baddiewinkle’s Instagram captures all of the social media lingo, poses, trends, and hashtags so well that it sometimes seems like satire. This sassy lady promises to “steal your man” and even strives to be on the Ellen show while posting psychedelic selfies and twerking.
It’s almost as thought she went through a teen girl’s Instagram and duplicated her wardrobe, poses, and captions.
Exhibit A: Baddiewinkle reppin a peace sign and a shirt that says "90’s child" with the caption: “sup. Read More

Get ready for it; we’re about to see a bunch of white males scrambling for the Late Show spot now that David Letterman has announced his retirement. The current top contenders include Jon Stewart, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, and Conan O’Brien. *yawn*
Men have traditionally hosted late night television because of the outdated gendered blocking of Television viewing times. Read More

The internets and social media networks have been all abuzz about Ellen Page coming out in her speech at the Human Rights Campaign Time to Thrive Conference last week. If you live under a rock and/or haven’t watched it already, you really, really should.
Her brave speech (seriously, tears just listening to her voice shake), the support from her fellow actors, and the media’s response to an actress choosing to “live openly and authentically” is enough to make any ally, activist, or human person with a heart melt a little bit inside. Read More
If there are two things I love, it’s animals and Ellen DeGeneres. Since it’s Ellen’s birthday this week, she decided to break the rules a little bit and share her very special Super Bowl commercial ahead of time. Ellen stars as Goldilocks—Ellilocks, if you will—except instead of searching for porridge, she really wants to groove out to the perfect tune on the app Beats Music. Always the animal lover, Ellen ends up having a blast with the bears (and a few of their woodland friends) as they all dance “happily ever after!” Take a look below. Read More

Ellen degeneres seems to always find ways to make me proud. Her role in queer visibility is undoubtedly important and those vests I mean, COME ON.
The comedian and talk show host is currently developing a new sitcom focused on a lesbian lead. Degeneres is teaming up with former Afterellen blogger, Liz Feldman. The show is supposedly a lesbian update on Will & Grace, but will it be well received?
The history of LGBT sitcoms ranges from nonexistent to unsuccessful. Read More

Get ready to let the awwww’s flow because this tiny human is truly adorable! Last Friday, October 4th, dance teacher Tianne King and her daughter Heaven (such an appropriate name!) showcased their dance moves on The Ellen Show. The two became internet-famous back in May of this year when Tianne uploaded to YouTube a video of the duo dancing to Beyoncé’s “End of Time.” Here’s the original video of the two:
At the time of the video, Heaven was only two. Now at the ripe age of three, this little girl is making TV spots. Read More

I’ve never been an avid reader of the magazine Cosmopolitan (except that time I gained 15 pounds while I was abroad and the “Lose 10 lbs. in 10 Hours” headlines sucked me in – it doesn’t work by the way). My roommate however, happens to love Cosmo and reads it religiously. One day after work, while I was taking a short break from my very intense love affair with Netflix, I picked up a recent copy of Cosmo. Read More

It’s Twitter-official! Ellen DeGeneres, comedian, talk show host, and flawless individual announced early this morning that she’ll be the host of the 2014 Academy Awards.
“I’d like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra,” she tweeted. Aw.
Though it would be nice if Tina Fey and Amy Poehler could host everything, this is still set to be a delight. Basically because Ellen is pretty much the most lovable human being on the planet, and because she already has mad experience from hosting back in 2007. Read More

We still haven't gotten over the horrendous comments and actions of fat-hate coming from Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries. Luckily we can always count on Ellen to poke fun at such insanely ridiculous situations like these, and that's just what she did on her show last Friday. She has one thing to say to Abercrombie: "Fitch, please!" Not only is this clip hilarious, DeGeneres ends with a truly inspiring anti-fat-hate message about true beauty. She extends the conversation to address any kids out there who might have heard about this nonsense and simply reminds us why we love her. Read More
