A 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked the capitol of Nepal on Saturday and was the worst the country has seen for almost 80 years. The death toll has reached more than 3,600 and is continuing to rise; photographs and videos have taken over media outlets here in the U.S. and many are left wondering how they can help.

We here at BUST HQ are deeply saddened by the disaster currently happening in Japan, and have opened our hearts and pockets to the relief efforts.
We hope BUST readers will do the same, and we've done a little nosing around to find some reliable relief organizations that’ll help you help Japan. The 8.9 earthquake hit Friday afternoon, provoking a tsunami that devastated Japan’s coastal towns and caused at least two nuclear explosions at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The destructive 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti Tuesday evening is reportedly affecting more than 3 million people in the small island country. Although the number of people killed is currently unknown (at the time of reporting), the expected death toll is “in the thousands.”Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere: almost 9 million of its citizens are living in poverty already, so people affected by the earthquake definitely need our help during this tragic time.
