T-Swift is always making headlines. Among other things, she's recently seen the light and is a self-proclaimed feminist, Diplo has been calling her out on Twitter for not having an ass (with none other than Lorde quickly coming to her defense), and have you guys seen her ridiculously gorgeous cover for Wonderland Magazine?? But we can’t forget why she’s here in the first place—she’s an amazingly talented artist. Her highly ... Read More
Dirty Dancing didn’t only make household names out of Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze (R.I.P.) but it was also an iconic teen love story that made water dancing, Keds and summer camp seem cool. This movie was iconic not only in the mom-jeans hall of fame, but it also became essential when talking about 80’s fashion, so today I’m bringing baby out of the wardrobe corner and into 2014. So without further ado, here's how to incorporate ... Read More
A bunch of BUST editors and friends were asked to judge Jonathan Toubin’s  Soul Clap and Dance-Off  a few weekends ago, and we had SOOOOO much fun! Above is a pic of the winner, Elizabeth Arnold (aka #66) who's moves were undeniable. The second runner up was also fantastic, but we didn't catch his name because, frankly, judging is hard work and you need to drink the entire time, so by 2 am we were pretty wasted. Sorry #100! Special guest DJs  ... Read More
It seems like the discussion surrounding the Miley Cyrus phenomenon and her use of little people at the VMAs has involved (mostly white) women of average height. While that’s valid and can be helpful, I can’t help but wonder why we’re not hearing from little people. An average sized person cannot pretend to understand cultural prejudices and representations of little people without at least consulting an informed source for whom this issue ... Read More
Get ready to let the awwww’s flow because this tiny human is truly adorable! Last Friday, October 4th, dance teacher Tianne King and her daughter Heaven (such an appropriate name!) showcased their dance moves on The Ellen Show. The two became internet-famous back in May of this year when Tianne uploaded to YouTube a video of the duo dancing to Beyoncé’s “End of Time.” Here’s the original video of the two: At the time of ...   Fans of electronic music, dance-pop, and fun, take notice: Hot Chip is (possibly) coming to your town. I’ve been a fan of this electro band for years, so to say I’m looking forward to waving around imaginary glowsticks at their upcoming NYC gig (on April 9th at Roseland Ballroom) is a large understatement. The fact that the band recently added a female drummer (Sarah Jones, of New Young Pony Club) only sweetens the pot. I’ll be reporting ... Read More

V-Day 2013 is a year away. That's enough time for you, me, Eve Ensler, and a billion of our friends to rise together to end violence against women. Personally, I've loved Ensler's work for the past 4 years, ever since I was a Florida State Women’s Center volunteer that worked the door at a showing of the Vagina Monologues. I cringe now when I remember texting my friend, “Why do 'radical feminists' use the word vagina all the time? So ... Read More
