For those of you who have not heard, we here at BUST are very excited for the upcoming BUST Holiday Craftacular Boston! On Saturday, November 22 in Boston’s South End at the Cyclorama at Boston Center for the Arts from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm, we will be hosting more than 100 vendors, offering make-and-take crafts, tasty treats, gift wrapping and more. There will also be a cat cafe benefitting Broken Tail Rescue, and an ugly sweater selfie booth. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday!

For my first poetry show ever, one of my best friends offered to bake a super simple shortbread cookie for the audience. I was so nervous, but it was the perfect thing to add a calming and almost familial atmosphere. I endlessly appreciate this gesture because, since then, I have made ALL THE COOKIES! This recipe combines two of my favorite things, tea and baking.
I hear time and time again that baking is a very exact science and that straying from the recipe can lead to trouble, but I think I kind of like trouble, especially when it results in a soft, flavorful and elegant cookie. Read More

One look at this fully-restored and ridiculously cool vintage Airstream and I’m instantly brought back to memories of watching The Long, Long Trailer, starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz when I was a young girl with my mom. This film lent itself to many a daydream about road-tripping on the open road with only a tricked out Airstream, some great tunes and my bare essentials by my side. Even from my childhood bedroom, I could just taste the pork and beans we'd make and how I could practice howling at the blue corn moon with all sorts of magical, non-rabid animals. Read More
