What could be more fun than Oxygen’s reality hit Bad Girls Club? Well...a lot of things. (Remind me again why that show's on TV?)
As it turns out, though, a house populated by our favorite badass lady characters from books, TV, and movies is pretty cool. I present to you Comediva’s BAMF Girls Club, which features characters such as Lisbeth Salander, Hermione Granger, and Buffy interacting under the same roof.

On Tuesday, Senate Republicans blocked the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill that would have ensured women be paid the same amount as their male counterparts. Despite the fact that this bill seems to make perfect sense to anyone with half a brain, the final vote was 52-47. The real mind-boggling cherry on top of this already non-sensical sundae is the fact that several female senators (who apparently don’t mind being paid less than their male counterparts all that much) were among those that voted against the bill. Last week, Entertainment Weekly released a comedy-centric issue, and used Melissa McCarthy as their cover girl with the headline "The New Queen of Comedy."McCarthy's coronation isn't all that surprising to her adoring fans, given the comedienne's Emmy-winning performance in Mike & Molly, as well as her part in Bridesmaids's box office success. However, we can't deny the true and unexpected significance of McCarthy's new recognition, and what it all means in the grander scheme of things for women in comedy. Read More
