Do you ever have those days where you wish you could switch places with your cat? I’d love to take a day off of work to just sleep and purr and enjoy that feline life. Alas, it was not meant to be.
But at least you can take a break from all of your human-work to appreciate these cats’ amazing sleeping powers! Seriously, I wish I could sleep the way some of these cats are sleeping. It’s a skill.

Aw, there's nothing like a good ol' bit of satirical internet mischief to get you through Hump Day.
And our favorite new blog's premise is based off the old chestnut about men taking up too much space on the train-- there's even a Tumblr devoted to it. But this new blog suggest that men take "spread their legs while sitting down" because, of course, "they're saving room for cats! Duh!"
Here are a few goodies...

There’s nothing like being read to; simply put, being told a story makes ya feel loved.Shelter animals around the world deserve to feel special and cared for, and the Animal Rescue League of Berks County thought of an unusual way to nurture their underprivileged cats. As part of the shelter’s new program, kids from Grade 1 to Grade 8 visit the animals and read to them; the shelter reports that the kids’ reading improves and the animals are ... Read More

Annette and Sue Amendola, sisters living in Brooklyn, New York, have been putting up a nativity scene in the lot next to their home for more than ten years. The real Christmas miracle, though, is the fantastic colony of feral cats that takes over the space annually. They curl up between the figurines and cuddle on the warm hay bale that serves as a manger and, duh, it's freakin' adorable.
According to the Amendola sisters, when they lay the baby Jesus in the ... Read More
Imagine a place where cats roam free, where felines own the land. That place is a real island off the beautiful coast of Fukuoka, Japan. We've told you about this before, but it's been getting a lot of attention lately, and it's just so great, we needed to post an update. Often referred to simply as “Cat Heaven,” the island drew the affections of the photographer Fubirai, who chose to photograph the cats over five years. His photographic ... Read More
The artist Addie Wagenknecht is known for her critical examinations of internet culture. In the past, she has staged performance art pieces revealing the appeal of anonymity. She has created internet pages that refuse to load, revealing our urgent need for gratification through imagery. In Brussels’s recent Digital Now exhibit, she uses the internet and technology, tools that she admits are generally controlled by men, to create groundbreaking and ... Read More
