A UK Footballer has come under fire in the last 24 hours after dressing up in blackface for an anti-racism campaign’s costume dinner party. Toni Duggan, a striker for Manchester City, decided to attend the party for the UK’s Kick It Out campaign as Whoopi Goldberg from Sister Act.
The stunt was similar to Julianne Hough's brainfart this past Halloween when she dressed in blackface and an orange jumpsuit in what she called an homage to Orange Is The New Black’s Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren. Read More

According to The Cut, A.F. Vandevorst’s fashion show in Paris today didn’t feature any black models, which is unfortunately fairly common. But what struck audience members as particularly odd about the show was that a bunch of these white models had black paint coating their arms and legs. This little piece of racist oddity comes on the heels of this week’s fashion blackface controversy, which we covered yesterday. At this point it’s almost funny…just almost, though.

At New York Fashion Week, designers tried to convince us that bondage is in, neon shag body wear is trendy, and unwearable structural pieces are totally hot right now. But at least they didn’t send models down the runway in blackface. Think no one would be ignorant enough to paint a white girl black for an “African Queen” photo shoot? Well think again.
