One thing I love about living in NYC is that I don't have a car. I buy my metro card each month and that's it! No gas, insurance, or maintenance fees.
But ohhh buddy, when I did have to take my car to get worked, it sucked. Not only was it expensive and time-consuming, but I had to deal with a lot of jargon I didn't understand. Like any millennial who’s only passively political (to preface this, pretty much any knowledge of politics I’ve gotten through watching Parks and Rec, so bear with me) I monitored last night’s Wendy Davis filibuster from the comfort of multiple social media outlets. It's no secret that we have a lot of love for former BUST cover girl Mindy Kaling. I myself offered to send her a birthday card, but I don't think my higher-ups would trust me with her address. Nor should they, probably.

As far as I can tell, spontaneous musical numbers in the 1940’s were as common as explosions in a Michael Bay movie (though I'm judging solely from the trailers--I have too much self-respect to watch those). The following clip from the movie Broadway Rhythm, however, has a twist: three gorgeous contortionist sisters who turn themselves into human pretzels. Think I’m kidding?
