A few days ago, HuffPo Entertainment posted an interview with Evangeline Lilly from the premiere of the third and last Hobbit installment. She has a lot of nice words about working with Peter Jackson and being fortunately typecast in kick-ass female roles. She spoke of wanting to continue filling roles in which her characters are “strong because of their compassion, they’re strong because of their vulnerability, they’re strong because of their emotion and they’re strong in spite of their fear. Press circuits are a busy requirement of promoting a new movie - and as fans, we get that. And we kind of love it. I mean who doesn’t love seeing one of their favorite stars hilariously banter with some charismatic late night personality? For all of the world to see. Which may or may not have been scripted.
AOL’s BUILD Speaker Series is the cool older cousin of the hyper press circuit family. Read More

It was your average summertime Friday night, when a lack of money and available activities led to another sweat-band-hair-tie-chillin-with-no-makeup-on movie night. After scanning through the available selections, my friends and I decided on “The To Do List” the “Valentines Day”-esque movie, that seemed to feature a character from almost every single Emmy-nominated TV series. National Donut Day, aka my third favorite not-real holiday after Rex Manning Day and Flag Day, happens to fall today, on this very June 6th 2014. Now what does this mean to you? EVERYTHING, this holiday should mean everything to you. Donuts are my favorite circular shaped food, which means a lot considering most delicious things in the world are circular: pizza, pie, chicken pot pie, bagels, onion rings, sushi rolls, waffles, pancakes, hamburgers and even that one circular McNugget you get in your set of 20 (the rest are kinda shaped like a rhombus or like a tiny fried Ugg Boot). Aubrey Plaza is easily the greatest thing since sliced bread. (We at BUST love her so much we put her on the cover of our October/November 2012 issue!) But before she was breaking hearts and taking names in Parks and Rec, she and a group of co-conspirators made this trailer for Teen Hag, a salty spin on the movie Teen Wolf, "coming to a cave nowhere near you … 6/6/6."
Plaza basically plays an awkward teenage girl (what else is new) who comes into her own when she turns into a teenaged hag, taking over the cheerleading squad, the school, then the WORLD. Read More

The stars have aligned, our prayers have been answered. It’s like the universe knew I just finished marathoning Daria for the…third time, and instead of watching “Is it College, Yet?” and feeling empty, I can watch what Daria’s high school reunion would be like and feel empty. YES!
Okay, so it’s KIND of a drill. This is served up by the good people of CollegeHumor, so no, it’s not a real movie. Yet it totally could and should be. Read More

It’s finally summertime! Looking for the kind of fun you can have without sweating your tanned little booty off? BUST hand-picked a crop of movies we'll be watching from that sweet, sweet movie theater air conditioning - without stressing about which character will make the next sexist dig.
We know that dick flicks usually dominate the summer movie scene, but 2013 is another good year for the ladies. Read More

Former House Speaker and Lunar-colony enthusiast Newt Gingrich will guest star in an upcoming episode of Parks and Recreation on NBC. Gingrich will be the latest in a recent flurry of political heavy-hitters to appear on the show. Other recent guests include Olympia Snowe, Barbara Boxer, and Senator John McCain. CMJ Music Marathon kicks off in New York today, which means that from now until the wee hours of Saturday night (or Sunday morning, if you're doing it right), seemingly every band ever will be playing shows at over 80 venues across the city. (Check out the official CMJ 2012 schedule if you want to get excited and overwhelmed on a Jessie Spano-esque level.) We're hoping to catch some incredible lineups over the next few days and nights, and we're pleased to present one of our very own this Thursday. Read More
