Last week, women around the world bravely shared their abortion stories as #ShoutYourAbortion trended on Twitter. The movement got started when Amelia Bonow shared her abortion story on Facebook after learning of the House of Representative’s vote to defund Planned Parenthood. Lindy West took Amelia’s story to Twitter with the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion, shared her own abortion story, and with the help of a few “co-conspirators” including Kimberly Morrison, a viral hashtag was born. Earlier this week, one Arizona mom, Suzanne Young, posted a picture to Twitter of a sticker her son was required to place on the inside of his science textbook.
