During an intimate performance at the Sundance Film Festival last week, Courtney Love covered Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” and introduced it by saying, “This either sucks or it's genius, I don't know." That’s our girl! Courtney has never been afraid to take a risk and it’s one of the things we love most about her.

Hoping to illuminate the disparity of women to men in the film industry, the Women's Media Center is sending girl journalists to this year's Sundance FIlm Festival in Park City, UT to report, blog, and tweet about the festival's women filmmakers and the state of women in film. This year, Sundance is showcasing 24 feature films and 25 short films by women. While this may seem like a lot, in the top 250 films of 2009, only 16% had females in leadership roles like directors, producers, writers, cinematographers, and editors. Read More

Nothing makes me swoon more than an unconventionally bittersweet blossoming relationship between two supposed inanimate objects. Spike Jonze's new 35 minute mini film which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival conveys an honest, haunting and sincere picture of what it means fall in love and be a robot at the same time.
I'm Here is set in contemporary LA, at a time where strangely enough, robots and humans coexist. Read More
