Since we're officially stranded in the gray purgatory between V-Day and spring (and all I want to do is hide under the covers, browse YouGrowGirl.com and wait for my daffodils to bloom), I'm drawn to anything floral--especially these sweet pieces by UK-based Sew Lovely. Designer Charlotte Alexandra's collection of jewelry and hair accessories bursts with blossoms, and nearly everything is well under $23. I can't wait to host a garden party in the Satin Petals necklace...you know, once I actually plant that garden I talk about every year. Read More

Everyone's been having fun hating on 'He's Just Not That Into You,' but I, for one, won't join in -- I'm just not that into hating on chick flicks (I've pointed out before that no one ever hates on dick flicks - like all those stupid video-game inspired films, etc).
But at least that movie went to the theaters. Read More

I tend to get super nostalgic for the accoutrement of my youth (Feather earrings! Slap bracelets! Hypercolor!), so I was overjoyed to see a few versions of the classic 80s fan earring over at Fred Flare. These things were majorly coveted by my grade-school girlfriends, and only the most fashion-forward among us even dared wear them to class. Of course, back then fashion-forward meant gross, don't talk to her so my nostalgia might be a little misplaced. Whatever.

I found the inauguration to be inspiring, uplifting, and overall unforgettable. A lot of bars in my area will be rerunning it tonight and I can't wait to go out and experience the excitement all over again with friends. But even though every speech and performance was no doubt incredible, I have to admit that I was most excited by Aretha Franklin's hat. She rocks my world. Read More

If you are in Brooklyn tonight, then make your way over to Glasslands on Kent Ave, to see BUST favorite Heloise and the Savoir Faire play! Golden Triangle, Lights and Patrick Cleandenim will also be performing. But best of all, I'm DJ-ing! Free Danger will be playing sweaty dark disco tunes, and funky beats for all ladies and lads who have decided to celebrate this extra weekend day by getting sloppy. Starts at 9ish and goes to... Not only is TopShop finally coming to America, but they have an official date! That 'Opening Fall 2008' sign has toyed with my emotions for years now.
Ever since I went to London a few years ago, I have literally been hoping to have TopShop here, everyday. Sure, I could have ordered online many times, but there is nothing quite like trying something on, or getting first dibs on celeb-designed lines or even snagging some in-store-only sales. Not only are they coming to NYC, but they picked a prime spot in SOHO right on Broadway (just south of Broome)with an overwhelming 40,000 sqft of space. Read More

So Saturday, I visited the UnBridaled Expo , despite my absolute lack of interest in all things bridal. You should believe me when I say that getting married is the furthest thing from my plans these days, yet I spent my morning trying on jewelry, scoping out bamboo undies, and best of all, watching a fashion show of eco-friendly local designers' work, modeled by the Philly Roller Girls!
Check out more photos below the jump.

Though I'm not the biggest fan of cold weather (as I type this, there's an inch of ice smothering every sidewalk in my city), I do have a serious soft spot for tights. Patterns, solids, knits, whatever--as long as they're easy to slip on with my staple black dresses and oxfords, I'm a happy girl. So I'm absolutely loving the stuff over at We Love Colors. Nearly every sort of tight you could ever want, all available in a crazy-go-nuts palette of 45 colors. Plus, the prices are pretty reasonable, so you can stock up without annihilating your paycheck. Don't have enough money to buy new clothes? Why not...shop in your own closet!
Shopinyourcloset, a new fashion blog, was created in part to mainstream magazines recent economically-sensitive fashion articles that advise readers to save their bucks by revisiting their own closet, not always considering the fact that some outfits already owned should be buried in a landfill instead of in the back of one's wardrobe.
Pictures submitted from readers showcase sartorial choices from days of yikes! ranging from offbeat to off-your-rocker, proving that bad clothes can happen to good people. Read More
