As winter finally comes to a close, and we remember that the bright shiny spot in the sky is called THE SUN, many of us are starting to rearrange our closets to make room for warm weather gear. Street style blogs are everywhere (The Sartorialist, Street Peeper, and Stil in Berlin are some our personal faves.) They may seem like a modern meme, but actually, street fashion photography has been around much longer—maybe even as long as photography itself. Mashable recently curated some photos by Edward Linley Sambourne, all taken during the Edwardian era in and around Kensington, London, featuring ladies in their amazing #ootd. Read More

Every August, we get ultra-excited about the AfroPunk Festival, which takes place in Brooklyn, N.Y.C. The festival is a two-day celebration of music, fashion, art and culture. Aside from being packed with eye-popping musical performances and insanely good vibes, it's *also* a convergence of some of the most beautiful, stylish folks on the planet. We swear you won't find a better crowd for people-watching anywhere in the world.
This year's fest was full of crazy-cute outfits, colorful prints, beautiful hairdos, and fresh accessories, all of which left us feeling totally inspired. Read More
What with the street style bloggers crawling over every corner of the Internet, it seems as though the next-level creeping was bound to happen eventually.
This latest incarnation of style stalking is through a camera linked to the Internet, uploading shots of passerby in real time from, naturally, Brooklyn, New York. The camera snapping shots of passers-by is located along Williamsburg’s Bedford Avenue, and is motion activated, so anyone and everyone walking by is showcased on the blog, called Styleblaster, to be judged by all. During sweaty-and-disgusting New York summers, all I want to wear is a bathing suit and flip flops. But these ladies, photographed in Rockefeller Center in 1944, offer up a viable and glamorous alternative. Photographed by Alfred Eisenstaedt (who shot that picture of a sailor dipping his dame for a kiss in Times Square on V-J Day) for LIFE magazine, this series entitled “Beautiful Girls in New York” is a killer documentation of vintage NYC street style. One of my favorite Fashion Week events had to be Lulu's Style Studio, where bloggers from all over gathered to mingle, shop, and eat cupcakes in style. It was an ultra-stylish party, and I was able to snap shots of some of my favorite looks as everyone walked around. Read More
There's so many street style blogs out there, it's hard to know which ones are best so when I find a really good one, I definitely try and keep up with it. TheSFStyle.com is one of my favorites. Run by JT Tran and Dyanna Dawson, the site is filled with lovely lady and handsome man "morsels" galore from two of my favorite cities, San Francisco and New York! I run a street style blog of my own, The Rebel Waltz, but I've definitely neglected it in favor of my personal style blog. Read More
I didn't make it to as many CMJ shows as I would've liked, but I was able to catch the lovely singer Emmy the Great, who I've wanted to see for a while now, and Wild Moccasins, a Texas pop band I've missed seeing since moving from Texas to NYC. The two pictures above and below are Emmy the Great, who I was happy brought some glitter and sparkle to a daytime show. It's never too early in my book. I was also totally digging her patterned tights. Few people could make those prints go together so perfectly in color and pattern. Read More
Laurie covered the event in this previous entry of the Advanced Style party hosted by Ari Seth Cohen and Style Rookie's Tavi Gevinson, but I thought I might share some of the amazing street style I was able to cover while we were there. It was pretty fantastic how people of all ages came together to celebrate style..in style! Everyone there looked fantastic dressed to the nines and it was one Fashion Week event I wont be forgetting any time soon.
Ilona Royce Smithkin's rendition of "La Vie En Rose" was a highlight of the night. Read More

Thanks to FRUiTS, the world can keep up with what the ladies of Harajuku, Tokyo are strutting in on a daily basis. The monthly street style magazine has been snapping shots since the mid 90s, and the August issue is filled with the usual volume of fresh and fearless fashion. These girls will wear whatever they want, whenever they want, and they don't mind if you do a double-take or two. Here are some of the looks featured in the current issue:
