Hearing Sarah Palin talk about why women can be anti-choice feminists has been pretty terrifying. Her message, that women can and should be expected to be have children they don't actually want, is totes ridic. But her supporting argument, suggesting that it's anti-feminist to accuse women of being unable to handle this load, is a bit trickier. Answering is like trying to respond to the "when did you stop beating your wife" question.

Sarah Palin's address last month at an anti-choice breakfast caused a huge ruckus for her liberal use of the word "feminist." (Interesting who didn't seem to notice.) Folks everywhere questioned this claim, but I think Meghan Daum hit the nail on the head here in pointing out that Ms. P. is well within her rights. I know this is old news, but I didn't click on this link until today and it's a good one! Martha puts Sarah Palin in her place, and I could not agree with her more. "BORING" and "Dangerous," what a winning combo! Happy Thanksgiving.
