Rodarte's simple, yet dreamy lookbook for their newest Opening Ceremony collection was shot by frequent Rodarte collaborator Autumn de Wilde and features models, Stephan Haurholm and twins Gwen and Donna Loos. The collection, inspired by Scandinavia, is full of muted colors of ruffles and pleats that give way to delightfully full, bright patterns showcased in their jumpsuits and dresses. I have to say, I'm most fond of the short, pleated party dresses above and the graphically patterned jumpsuits below. Read More

I was extremely stoked to get an invitation to attend the Rodarte Fall 2011 Runway show today.
Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the creative sisters behind the label presented a dreamy and inspirational collection that was very "prairie princess" inspired. I saw a lot of hand crafted embellishments, embroidered geometric patches and sweaters that totally looked like hand knit 1970's relics from a lucky thrift score.
The palette was all earthy taupe's, pale blues and greens, with pops of black. Long coats with weird cut outs and interesting collars. Read More

This past Tuesday was the Rodarte show. The location was top secret and wasn't revealed to the anyone until Monday morning. A little bird texted me the location (a telegram, a bird song and smoke signals would've take way too long). I made my way over to what I consider one of the best and most important shows during New York fashion week to take some street style photos.
