Rashida Jones' soulful songstress sound is featured on Boss Selection's new single, "Flip And Rewind." Since she is one of our favorite feminists in Hollywood (and a former BUST cover girl!), the news that she collaborated with L.A.-based artist Boss Selection was pretty exciting. It's not surprising that Rashida is musically inclined–it's in her blood. Her dad is revered music producer and artist Quincy Jones, who has won more Grammys than any living musician. "Flip And Rewind" is the first single out for Boss Selection's album "Volume One," set to be released Dec. 8. Read More

It’s a miracle that Parks and Recreation, a critical darling that never had any security in terms of ratings, made it through seven seasons and never managed to be anything less than great. Last night’s finale gave us a glimpse at our beloved characters’ futures and was a wonderful tribute to the show’s cornerstones of hard work and friendship. These were some of our favorite moments; read on and try not to cry, you beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk oxen. Spoilers abound, of course:

Red carpets are just fancy sidewalks where women are as important as the designer they're wearing and reporters (if you want to call them that) pretty much socially-tolerated cat callers in fancy attire. But Rashida Jones didn't let it slide at the SAG Awards when a reporter complimented her on a glowing tan. "I'm ethnic," the actress deadpanned. Reminder, award show talking heads: Not every woman in Hollywood is white.
YouTube has removed the video that showed Rashida seting the record straight (without batting an eye, we might add). Read More

For last week’s feature in Elle magazine, Amy Poehler described her ravenous appetite for her craft, revealing her excitement about her new directing and producing gig on Broad City and her upcoming book, which she lovingly refers to as a self-help/memoir hybrid.
For Poehler and women everywhere, this is an exciting time. Her passion for women’s rights and female empowerment shines through her her every move, from her website Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls to her personal life to her performance as the beloved Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation. Read More

If you haven't fantasized about having a bestie like Amy Poehler, then you're lying to yourself. Finally, in an interview with Vulture, she has revealed to the masses just what it takes to be deemed worthy of late-night texting marathons and corny birthday presents:
"Money, connections, power, sexiness, thick hair, fast cars, a sweet-ass booty, and a desire to travel. All those things."
Admittedly, her standards are pretty high, but I'd do it all to have just one mall montage scene with her.
"I haven't been able to find one person that meets that criteria. Read More

This is LITERALLY the saddest news I’ve heard all week. As a huge Parks and Recreation fan, I’m bummed to hear that both Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins) and Rob Lowe (Chris Traeger) are leaving after 13 episodes into the next season. Jones, who has starred in the show since the pilot, spent the end of the last season trying to get pregnant with Lowe's character. Presumably, their on-again/off-again relationship and her potential pregnancy will be tied into their exit from the show, although both have become such major characters that it is hard to imagine the show without them. It didn't help that I saw the ironically titled Celeste and Jesse Forever post break-up, so consider that a warning. If the humor hadn't consisted of jacking off with a piece of baby corn and a gay Elijah Wood, I would have desperately sought out the theater's nearest exit to escape the sweaty interior of the on-screen friendship. Thank goddess some people are just as perverted as I am.
Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) are a couple in the process of a divorce that can't seem to stay away from each other. Read More

The recent trailers for "The Social Network" aka the Facebook movie have been creepy to say the least, with audio clips set to suspenseful music and words like "traitor" as the only images. This new trailer gives us a little more of the movie, though it's still pretty dark. One thing is for sure: we will be watching it this fall. Read More
