It seems like painfully uncomfortable celebrity interviews are becoming a major trend. This time, the interviewers out did themselves by managing to be both sexist and racist. Quite an accomplishment. The victims: Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara.

A study conducted by The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics has found that black borrowers on average pay 29 basis points more - that’s about .3% more - than comparable white borrowers. Black women suffer the most from this disparity, receiving this different treatment more than black men do. The study was conducted using data from three waves of the U.S. Survey of Consumer Finance. We hear most often about how the school-to-prison pipeline fills our prisons with poor youth of color, but there’s another harmful system that, until recently, has been overlooked: the sexual abuse-to-prison pipeline.
