Past BUST cover girl and comedienne Sarah Silverman made headlines this week with her indecent video proposal to billionaire Sheldon Adelson. In the video, she asks him if he will scissor with her, and goes as far as to demonstrate the act in a bikini, with a small puppy playing the role of the elderly billionaire himself.
Sarah isn't just jonesing for the oldies. In fact, she's taking one for the democrats by asking Sheldon to scissor her in return for donating $100 million to Barack Obama instead of Mitt Romney. Read More

Today might mark the summer solstice, but for presumptive Republican Party nominee Mitt Romney, the date might borrow from a different holiday, Halloween, more than is usual for summertime campaign stops. That is to say that Romney should be planning for the predicted appearance of Pillamina, Planned Parenthood's costumed avenger, at his Troy, Michigan, fundraiser tonight. Read More
Now that you've watched Barack Obama get down with the music stylings of Carly Rae Jepsen, it's time to get back down to serious political business. Or not so serious, depending on how much you believe the democratic party's attempt to pass a bill in the senate that would help close the wage gap between men and women in the US.

As a woman, I love when rich white men with a chip on their shoulders limit my reproductive rights and tell me that I can’t marry the woman I love. Those poor emotional creatures who say otherwise are simply distracted by “shiny objects”, because everybody knows we’re about as important as rims on a car or a Zales commercial. Read More

Mitt Romney won the Texas primary yesterday and with it officially surpassed the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination. Did you hear about that? Probably not, because Romney’s crack campaign staff managed to steal their own thunder yet again, this time with a spelling mishap for the ages. Instead of reveling in their newfound status as the official nominee, team Romney released a new photo-filter iPhone app called “With Mitt. Read More

With his official candidacy imminent, Mitt Romney's campaign spent this week addressing his dismal popularity among women voters by doing a classic political move I like to call Flippin' the Script (very technical terminology here, I know). Democrats, according to Romney, have been accusing Republicans of waging a war on women when really, it's Obama's economic policies that have been, "turning the clock back 20 years on American women. " Oh. Read More

As conservative politicians continue to litter the world with disgusting and offensive sound bites about women, it's a relief to finally hear someone talk some sense. And an even bigger relief when that person is the President.
Speaking about women and the economy this morning, President Obama reiterated the should-be-totally-obvious fact that women are actual individuals! He stated, "There’s been a lot of talk about women and women’s issues lately, as there should be. But I do think that the conversation has been oversimplified. Women are not some monolithic bloc.
