Last Saturday night brought an evening of laughs as the world tuned into the 40th anniversary of SNL. The marathon-length show averaged 23.1 million viewers, more views than an NBC primetime telecast (aside from the Super Bowl) in over a decade. The legion of actors include audience favorites such as Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, and many more.
But the best moment of the night–and of our entire ... Read More

Be still our beating BUSTie hearts: Could it finally be happening?! A Ghostbusters remake that puts ladies at its goo-fighting center? We are sincerely tickled—especially since now the potential lineup has been released and it includes none other than Wiig, McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. You know we will be Fandango'ing this as soon as humanly possibly.
The film is set to release in July of 2016 (nope, not sure we can wait that long either, but ... Read More

Given that The Skeleton Twins stars Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, and Luke Wilson, it’s easy to jump to the conclusion that the film must be a gut-busting comedy. But the first 10 minutes will prove you wrong — Wiig’s character Maggie is about to attempt suicide when she’s interrupted by a phone call from a Los Angeles hospital telling her that her twin brother Milo (Hader) has just survived his own suicide attempt. The siblings haven’t ... Read More

I only know two people who had the gall to admit to me that they didn't like Bridesmaids, and they're both dead to me. Just kidding. It was awkward though, when I told them that I got Rebel Wilson's character's “Mexican drinking worm” tattoo, NOT for free, as an everlasting tribute to the film's band of wisecracking ladies and they were totally unimpressed. Whatever, losers.
While they probably won't be too excited about the news that the ... Read More

Get ready for it; we’re about to see a bunch of white males scrambling for the Late Show spot now that David Letterman has announced his retirement. The current top contenders include Jon Stewart, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, and Conan O’Brien. *yawn*
Men have traditionally hosted late night television because of the outdated gendered blocking of Television viewing times. Daytime television has no shortage of female hosts because daytime TV's assumed ... Read More
When Tina Fey pulled up her chair at the Saturday Night Live writers’ table, the show wasn’t all that woman-friendly. In her autobiographical book Bossypants, the comedien tells a story of how writers often assumed men in drag could be more funny than women. By the time she left, the show had featured more female greats than ever before: Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolf, Kristen Wiig, and others graced us with their unbeatable wit.
But wait ... Read More

Okay, so Drunk History on Comedy Central is probably my new favorite show. I can’t watch even one segment without laughing to tears. It began as a Funny or Die series, which was created by Jeremy Konner and Derek Waters. What makes Drunk History so funny is the fact that they enlist actors to re-tell historical events, while being incredibly intoxicated. This show is majorly awesome!
Part of the hilarity is that the actors aren’t exactly accurate ... Read More

I’m totally in a glass case of emotion right now. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are making a cameo in the sequel of Anchorman, along with pretty much everyone and their mom. Recent pictures feature the two ganging up on Sasha Baron Cohen, with crow bars, no less. Is the former Weekend Update duo partaking in the news anchor rumble to end all news anchor rumbles? Here's to hoping.
It’s good to see some ladies crashing the boys club at the Channel 4 News ... Read More

SNL alum and BUST favorite, Kristen Wiig will be gracing us with her hilarious (stage) presence on May 11th to host Saturday Night Live a year after she left the show on May 19th, 2012. (You might remember her emotional send-off which commemorated the seven years she spent on the NBC sketch comedy series.) Now we'll get to see her starring alongside former co-stars and keep our fingers crossed for some great guest spots (Tina? Amy? Rachel? Melissa McC? Just give ... Read More
