It’s finally summertime! Looking for the kind of fun you can have without sweating your tanned little booty off? BUST hand-picked a crop of movies we'll be watching from that sweet, sweet movie theater air conditioning - without stressing about which character will make the next sexist dig.
We know that dick flicks usually dominate the summer movie scene, but 2013 is another good year for the ladies. Read More

I’m totally in a glass case of emotion right now. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are making a cameo in the sequel of Anchorman, along with pretty much everyone and their mom. Recent pictures feature the two ganging up on Sasha Baron Cohen, with crow bars, no less. Is the former Weekend Update duo partaking in the news anchor rumble to end all news anchor rumbles? Here's to hoping.
It’s good to see some ladies crashing the boys club at the Channel 4 News Team. Fellow Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig is also set to appear as Brick's love interest. Read More

SNL alum and BUST favorite, Kristen Wiig will be gracing us with her hilarious (stage) presence on May 11th to host Saturday Night Live a year after she left the show on May 19th, 2012. (You might remember her emotional send-off which commemorated the seven years she spent on the NBC sketch comedy series.) Now we'll get to see her starring alongside former co-stars and keep our fingers crossed for some great guest spots (Tina? Amy? Rachel? Melissa McC? Just give us somethin'!). Read More

There have been many responses to the highly offensive (and incorrect) essay by Christopher Hitchens called “Why Women Aren’t Funny” that ran in Vanity Fair in 2007, and this oral history is the most comprehensive. We Killed chronicles the rise of female comedians ranging from the days of Mary Tyler Moore, up to the present successes of Tina Fey and Kristen Wiig. Read More

They say what goes on the internet stays on the internet, and it's true: the stars of today were the dorks of yesterday, making silly videos of themselves and posting them to youtube only to have them haunt them for the rest of their days. As for those who were around before youtube, well, their videos have been posted there by other helpful celebrity sleuths. Here are our top 10 favorites, featuring some of our favorite lady celebs.

2. Madonna auditions for Fame, the TV Show, in 1982!

So rumors are aflutter that this will be Kristen Wiig's last season of SNL, as her contract is up this year. She has yet to confirm or deny this, but one can surmise that if she doesn't leave now, her departure remains imminent. And while I will be completely devastated when she does leave, listening to her Monday WNYC interview on "Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin" had me in such a Surprise Party Sue state. Read More
This weekend’s episode of SNL was perhaps the best of all season, with a lineup that seemed ripped from the pages of BUST (plus plenty of killer cameos…and one by Bill O'Reilly?) and a distinctly female energy (no doubt stemming from host Maya Rudolph’s presence) that felt like a breath of fresh air—or a gasp for fresh air after laughing so hard at Rudolph and Kristen Wiig’s frozen-chicken-fondling, golf-cart-driving, accent-switching antics in the “Secret Showcase” sketch. Last week we broke the news that there may be a Bridesmaids sequel without Kristen Wiig. We're still trying to make sense of this--it's like some hellish nightmare where somebody's eaten all the marshmallows out of your super-adult breakfast cereal. But do not fret! Friends with Kids, due out this spring, rounds up a lot of faces from the star-studded cast and promises to deliver laughs and/or raised eyebrows. Read More

Last night, the BUST staffers had a Ladies Night Out at the premiere party for Portlandia’s season 2. We have huge TV crushes on the IFC hit, and the second season way exceeded our expectations. The two new eps we watched at the party were packed with delightfully insane jokes, new characters (FYI, “We can pickle that!” is the new “Put a bird on it!”), and old pals like the aggressive bike messenger and feminist-bookstore owners. The blowout was held at NYC’s Museum of Natural History and was a celebrity gawkfest of epic proportions. Read More
