The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY was the first stop on tour for Har Mar Superstar and The Pizza Underground. They were also joined by the Candy Boys, a two-man boy band, starring D’arick and A’rick. They played hits “How Many Licks?” and “Hard Out There.” I loved their set so much! On Saturday night Leslie Hall, of Leslie & The LY's, took to the stage at The Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and charmed the pants off of every single member of the audience. (Well, not really. She did express her disappointment in how few pairs of pants were actually removed and tossed her way during her ultra-fun song “No Pants Policy”).

Going to see a band that you like, but don't know all that much about, can be a complex experience filled with intrigue and a roller coaster of emotions. Basically it's like this ... I accidentally made fun of one of the girls from Mountain Man right behind her head, not knowing she was in the band.
The other night my friend and I made our way to Knitting Factory in Brooklyn to see Mountain Man open for Junip. The band is an all girl, folky three-piece from Vermont and is comprised of Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, and Amelia Randall Meath. Read More
