The Grammys red carpet is always a welcome departure from the play-it-safe motto of almost every other show during awards season. How many women would actually prefer wearing a sleek black floor-length gown? Yawn. With all the focus on the performances, the Grammys invite so much more risk-taking. Like all awards shows, the Golden Globes can get a little slow—so we got together a list of our top moments for you (just in case you fell asleep with a glass of champagne on your lap and missed'em).
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler kicked off the Golden Globes for their third year in a row with gorgeous dresses and hilarious celebrity digs. The duo showed their feminist side in the show’s opening monologue, when they pointed out the absurdity of George Clooney’s lifetime achievement award in comparison to his wife Amal Alamuddin’s accomplishments. One of our favorite ladies out there, Tina Fey, is starring in a new family rom-com movie called, "This is Where I Leave You," coming to theaters September 12th. The film's cast is just perfect as it brings together the comedic gems from the past and the present. Alongside Tina is living legend, Jane Fonda, Jason Bateman, and rising stars like Adam Driver and Corey Stoll.
"This is Where I Leave You" is an adaptation of a novel by the same name, written by Jonathan Tropper, who actually adapted the script himself. Read More

Part of being a human is accepting that your parents will die. When you are a woman and you have the typical strong bond with your mother, the idea of losing her can seem Earth-shattering. I know my mom is the most important woman in my life, and the idea of going just a few days without her strange texts seems crazy.

It was reported today that beloved co-founder of Ms. magazine passed away after a collision with a car on Friday. The car hit Thom who was riding her Honda Magna motorcycle on Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers. We at BUST are mourning a great loss, along with the countless others Thom affected as a writer, editor, and feminist icon. After co-founding Ms. magazine with Gloria Steinem and Letty Cottin Pogrebin, Thom went on to become an editor and later an executive editor at the publication. Read More
