The internet can be a paradoxical place, whereby Yuppie brands appropriate radical social slogans for their own ends, and us plebeians can communally address other Yuppie brands with such pressing questions as, how drunk are J. Crew models, really?
Discussion has been spurred by Jen Ellison, whose Tumblr FAQ even calls out the fact that most of J. Crew’s male models don’t look drunk.

J. Crew is right up there with Vineyard Vines at the list of the preppiest clothing stores where the skinniest, most photo-ready-looking people shop. However, given the quality and price tag of the J. Crew brand, I never would have thought they’d introduce clothing that mothers and elementary school age children can share. However, that seems to be just what they’ve done by creating a size 000, which is basically a triple extra small. Read More
