It looks like Wendy Davis, the Texas State Senator who made headlines back in June for her 11 hour filibuster of a bill that would expand abortion restrictions, is just getting started. According to Politico, Davis has been telling Democrats that she plans to run for governor in 2014.
Although no official announcement has been made by Davis herself, the senator tweeted a fundraising request in anticipation of “something big” to be announced next week, and now, according to CNN, two democratic sources have confirmed her intent to run. Read More
