I have to admit, it's a little difficult to write a review about someone I have admired and followed since I first got into stand-up comedy. I still remember the first time I saw comedian Sarah Silverman perform live back home at a show in Manchester, New Hampshire, and I knew all her jokes and delivery by heart so well I could say them along with her. I recently watched Silverman’s HBO special We are Miracles (released November 2013) before getting to listen to the album version, which just came out September 23 in the US on Sub Pop. Read More
College Humor needs to stop downplaying the greatness that is this music video! The new black and white short video titled, "Sexually Enlightened R&B Song," can and should be covered by John Legend in the near future (seriously John, this is me asking you to cover this song, please, please, please!). The song is performed by Phil Jackson, who says he will do his lady (played by Briana King) “socio-politically” right. Right on! The confessions, admiration, and respect that this song shows for ladies everywhere is on point. And it only gets better with each line. Read More
Meow! It’s Friday! It’s been a long week, and you deserve something for all the hard work you’ve done. You’re awesome. And because you're so awesome, what better reward than a bunch of photos of cats standing on their hind legs? Believe me, you don’t know how important these are.   These photos sure do raise a lot of questions. For example, why are they standing up?? That's actually the only question, the answer to which we may never know for sure, but I think the beauty is in the mystery. These cats are beautiful and mysterious, just like you. Read More

Yesterday I went to Hannah Hart’s book signing at the Housing Works Bookstore on a whim and had my mind blown. I’m honestly still picking up the pieces.  I first watched Hannah’s Youtube series “My Drunk Kitchen” in 2011, after just moving away from my parents for the first time to start college. I remember feeling so awkward and insecure as I tried to adjust to my new environment and all these new faces and names that all had already become a blur. Read More
There’s a special place in my heart for comedy that is so true it hurts. We got a taste of it when Lizzy Caplan deadpanned through a magnificent bit about how men can be funny. Now we’re getting it again with Feminist Bros, a new YouTube duo that voice their opinions on movies on the YouTube channel Citizen Radio. They’re so right on with their assessment of horror films that it’s impossible to watch without cracking a smile. Just to give you a sample, here’s a quote from their video about horror movies: “Men can cry! I cry all the time. Read More
Bridget Everett, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. You wear fabulously revealing get-ups for all your sets, you're a lady whose size can rival the guys, you look hot all the time, you make some of the bluest jokes I've ever heard, you have "the voice of an angel," you guest regularly on Inside Amy Schumer, and Time Out named you one of the "funniest New Yorkers."  If you aren't acquainted with all that, Bridget's brand-spankin'-new NSFW video is about something we all know and love: "Titties." What better place for this exclusive premiere than right here on BUST. Read More
Like most, I binge-watched the first season of Orange is the New Black over a few days last summer. During the bleak winter months without the show in my life, I had time to reflect on its feminist, spunky, exciting and suspenseful moments. However, what I managed to forget was that this show is damnnn sexy. I mean, with a cast that prominently features so many powerful and talented ladies, you can't help but swoon. Read More
Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio. First drawn by artist Yuko Shimizu, Hello Kitty has become a quintessential part of Japanese-Kawaii culture. We’ve seen this little white bobcat everywhere, from middle schoolers’ pencil cases to 42ndStreet, blown up extra large as a balloon for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The real Hello Kitty magic however, is contained on their website, sanrio. Read More
Well Buzzfeed, you've done it again. This might be your best quiz yet. May many male tears be shed on this day of glory.  Find out how misandrist you are simply by checking a few boxes! The jokes go from "ouchy mama" to "HOOOO BURN" to "Wow. Just wow. Society, man." Preach, BF, let's all just #BanMen. I answered a little too honestly, mostly because I was laughing too hard to click, so I got: "You're well on your way to becoming the misandrist you've always dreamed of being. Read More
