From the Aussie comic group Skit Box and director Christian Van Vuuren comes a hilarious and catchy video that blows all our cover. Now everyone knows we’re headed to the couch and not the gym when they see us in our Lulu-best. These ladies make light of the athleisure trend, while admitting to being inactive activewear wearers themselves - so it’s all in good fun. Skit Box told Mashable.com, “Who cares if you haven’t used your platinum fitness first membership in 7 months? You’re still a go getter — in your activewear. Read More
Stop the presses. Another man has an opinion about funny women. Michael Eisner, former Disney CEO, told an audience at the Aspen Ideas Festival Thursday he thinks that funny, beautiful women are hard to find.  This opinion was shared during an onstage conversation with Goldie Hawn about why she'd been so successful in Hollywood. Eisner said, "From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman. By far. They usually — boy am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online (ed. Read More
Vanessa Bayer is at it again: In her show, Sound Advice, Bayer plays media adviser Janessa Slater, who confidently offers misinformed guidance to famous bands. In the most recent episode, Bayer "advises" our lady-loves Sleater Kinney. Check out the below video to see the SNL funny girl defend ex-wife flashers, poorly define the riot grrrl movement, and compare her guests to an all-girl Mystery Team. We promise that if you woke up feeling the mid-week hump (it happens to the best of us), then nothing will cure you faster than watching Sleater Kinney explain that Susan B. Read More
Maybe you remember Cannibal Cop - maybe you don't. Just in case, we'd like to refresh your memory:  Last july, NYC cop Gilberto Valle had his conviction overturned. Conviction for whatyou ask? Wanting to eat women, and not in the sexy way we all appreciate. According to BBC, Valle spent 20 months in jail after his wife found documents that notated plans to murder her then turn her into an entree. There were also documents in existence that discussed kidnapping, killing, and eating other women. Read More
A Christmas carol to put all other Christmas carols to shame - "White Privilege" written by the team at Lady Parts Justice to the tune of "White Christmas" is the perfect holiday reflection on everything that has been happening in our country during the past few months (and for a solid portion of our entire history). Set on the streets of Brooklyn, five women of color slowly sway past brownstones singing their revised rendition of the holiday classic, as two white police officers stalk behind them and a bunch of white people do illegal things without a glance from the officers. Last week, Sean Hannity went on his show on Fox News to discuss the meeting between New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and rapper/mogul/husband to Beyonce, Jay Z. Strangely enough, Hannity doesn’t introduce Jay Z how we would best know him, but as “A guy that admits that he sold crack and was a drug dealer and actually shot somebody." Luckily, Jon Stewart and Jessica Williams exist to call out Hannity on his bullshit — and they did just that in last night's episode. Read More
Whether it’s a carton of chocolate ice cream at 2am or instant oatmeal from a coffee mug before work, we’ve all been there. Either we're too busy or too lazy to bring our dish of leftover Thai fried rice from the kitchen to the couch. Instead, we fumble and flail around our tiny kitchens forking at our lukewarm spaghetti, and the only thing you’re doing that resembles manners is sticking your chin out over the sink to avoid getting marinara sauce on your already-wrinkled shirt. These are our private moments, not our worst but certainly not our best. Read More
