So this is pretty awesome: Illustrator Yehuon Chung has depicted a few of our favorite Orange is the New Black characters as their corresponding Disney women through realistic portraits.
According to Chung, "My main goal was to seamlessly combine the two characters while not having one overshadow the other. I tried to maintain the sharp and edgy tone from Orange is the New Black, while accentuating the Disney characteristics with vibrant colors." I’m completely obsessed with female villains. In fact, when The White Witch (Tilda Swinton) slapped the little boy in the first Chronicles of Narnia movie, I actually started laughing and clapping in the theater.
But my obsession all started with the original bad ass bitches of Disney.
Let’s face it--they were so much more interesting than those stupid, singing princesses. They were also wayyy more dark and sinister than many of their male counterparts (like Jafar or Gaston, for instance). Read More
