If you’re a crafty and caring girl, this is a great project for you!  Girls Love Mail is a charity that collects crafty, hand-written letters that are distributed to women recently diagnosed with breast cancer and those going through treatment.  Even if you don’t consider yourself particularly artsy, kind words to these strong ladies are always appreciated.  A fun idea is gathering your friends to create cards together! Gina Mulligan founded Girls Love Mail after she won her battle with breast cancer. Read More

Discovery Channel's annual Shark Week has me feeling very ocean-oriented, and though I'm not very crafty, I have countless creative, Pinterest-crazy pals who I think would be into these shark-inspired DIY projects. Go on ahead and dive into these shark-infested waters--you won't regret it. First, we have to make sure our nails look fly. Or in this case, bloody as hell. Check out the mani below for easy inspiration. All you'll need are blue and red nail polish for the simple version--use the blue as your watery base and let dry. Then go nuts, splattering those nails with bloody red. Read More

So you want to customize your accessories with fabric paint, but you don’t like the corny floral stencils at the local craft store? Have no fear, salvation is here in the form of a very humble material: freezer paper. That’s right—the same sheets you wrap your steaks in can be used as a stencil featuring your favorite slogan or an image of a kitten giving the finger. The sky’s the limit.
