Fans of badass comedian (and former BUST magazine cover star) Margaret Cho will be STOKED to know she will continue to tour in 2015 and is returning to NYC for the first time in over 2 years!
Cho is excited too, saying:

In 2008 Kathy Griffin became the first woman to make it to #1 on the Billboard Top Comedy List, and five years later she became the third female comedian ever to win a Grammy. As 2014 comes to close, Griffin is keeping busy on a nationwide comedy tour, preparing to replace her late hero Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police, and will be honored in Monday’s release of MAKERS: Women in Comedy on PBS.
The show will explore how the comedian fought to find a ... Read More
We all know her as Susan Fischer, the rookie security guard at Litchfield Penitentiary on the hit Netflix original series, Orange Is The New Black. As a mousey and quiet do-gooder on the show played by talented improviser and actress, Lauren Lapkus, her character aims to please. But now, with her new podcast out and debuting as the #1 iTunes Comedy Podcast, With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus is anything but polite.
Already three shows strong, the premise of her ... Read More

Meghan Trainor's single "All About That Bass" is currently number two on Billboard's Hot 100 and her music video has gotten a lot of attention for her commentary on "bass."
As a piano player, I do not choose between, nor discriminate against, bass and treble, musically or body-wise. There is a lot of body shaming that goes on for all women due to photoshop, and one's ability to genetically produce a booty should not affect whether they are deemed beautiful. This ... Read More

Throwing Shade is the kind of podcast you would make with your best friend. Just like how Broad City portrays Abbi and Ilana's friendship so perfectly that you feel like you and your friend ARE Abbi and Ilana, Throwing Shade is like you and your friend but even wittier, and with microphones. Self-described "feminasty" Erin Gibson and "homosensual" Bryan Safi met at UCB LA but really clicked when they were both writing for Current TV, where Erin hosted "Modern ... Read More

I first discovered the comedian Tig Notaro at the movies. NPR’s This American Life was being livestreamed at various Regal Cinemas across the country one evening, and so I took myself on a date. Not only did I go to the movies in my pajamas and not have to share my popcorn with anybody, but I also had my first laugh-till-I-cried moment with Notaro.
Best. Date. Ever.
Tig Notaro has been featured in BUST before, but in case you don’t know who the ... Read More
Menstruation, the least invoked of the Greek muses (though for many she shows up monthly anyway) is the inspiration for The Crimson Wave, a weekly podcast hosted by Canadian comedians, besties and habitual bleeders, Natalie Norman and Jess Beaulieu.
The ladies interview guests -- lots of comedians I’ve never heard of before, including a handful of men -- keeping the conversation on the topic of Aunt Flo: cramps, extra-long pads, birth control, viscosity, ... Read More

Phoebe Robinson is taking on dick pics. The comedian behind the Blaria blog and podcast debuted a new video at the monthly live comedy showcase she hosts, Blaria Live. In September, we were delighted by her Girlfriend Intervention spoof with Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams. For her new video, Phoebe took issue with the 21st-century version of shining armor and a white horse -- courtship via dick pic.
The sold-out crowd at Blaria Live cheered -- ... Read More

If you like Broad City, or other lady-driven web series, you will love Lonelygirl48. It was dreamt up by Brooklyn-based comedian , who has been featured on SNL and has won awards at the Boston Comedy Festival and Palm Beach International Film Festival for the full-length LonelyGirl48. BUST was lucky enough to talk to the brains behind the web series and ask her a couple of questions.
BUST: How did you think of the idea for the web-series?
KC: I ... Read More
